Only by learning to live in harmony with your contradictions can you keep it all afloat.

Spiritual Social Worker. Holistic Therapist. Full Spectrum Doula. Tarot Reader. Intuitive Guide. Writer.

Intuitive. Compassionate. Gentle. Unapologetically Authentic.

Hola! I’m Biany (pronounced Bee-ahh-nee) Pérez. I am a licensed therapist, full spectrum doula and coach, based in Lenapehoking, in what we presently know as Philadelphia, PA. I support BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx who identify as anxious high achievers, overachievers, people pleasers, and/or survivors heal from childhood trauma and be in a conscious relationship with themselves and others. I also work with survivor mamas, birthing folx, and new parents on the journey to healing their parental wound and parenting their children with conscious compassion. Outside of this role, I consult with organizations helping to shift foundational culture change and impact so that work places are more trauma informed, culturally aware, queer affirming and healing-centered.

Coming from a long-line of healers, brujas and spiritualists, I take an eclectic approach to therapy and coaching that values spiritual and energy work, tarot and oracle cards, somatics, mindfulness, psychotherapy, and other alternatives to healing that center the needs of those I work with. As a result of my ancestral lineage, I am passionate and feel called to this work as a holistic psychotherapist, coach, tarot reader, energy practitioner, and spiritual social worker.

As a trained psychotherapist, coach and consultant, I work from an:

  • Anti-oppressive, anti-discrimination, anti-ableism & anti-racist stance: I’m dedicated to naming and exploring power, privilege, and oppression and how these issues impact our sense of self, our communities, and navigating our day to day lives. I strive to be culturally aware, queer-affirming, trans-affirming, sex and body positive using a queer Black feminist lens. I strive to honor and respect the full neurodiversity spectrum and support people living with disabilities.

  • Relational approach: I am attuned to the ways relationships, whether with the self, others, and engaging with systems—can impact one’s wellbeing on a daily basis.

  • Holistic Trauma informed lens: Because people are complex, multidimensional beings. I pay close attention to how your past experiences impact emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing in the present. I practice from a trauma informed framework, recognizing that many have experienced some form of trauma that impacts our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

I identify as a nonbinary femme (she/elle/they), Black, Latine/x, queer, bilingual, bicultural person and the proud child of Dominican immigrant parents. I am a mama of three young wise humxns who teach me to find joy in the moments of each day. I’m deeply committed to working in our communities to guide us in our healing journey and learn to redefine and reclaim our voices and beliefs that are rooted in self-determination and freedom.
